There Is No Normal

Painted as part of my solo exhibition at Atom Gallery, London.

This building is the silk screen preparation and washing area for the gallery; the owners Mark and Richard create limited edition hand-pulled screen prints on site.

I have continued to work with Atom Gallery in the years since that first exhibition, and have produced several limited edition screen prints with them. You can see more of my work with Atom at the ‘Screen Prints & Campaigns’ page.

The words for this painting came from a Survival Techniques submission box that I installed at Tina We Salute You coffee shop whilst painting ‘Face The Sun’ on their mural wall. I continue to collect words and experiences at every opportunity, and these submissions go on to inspire future paintings.
