Survival Techniques – solo exhibition

UltraSuperNew Gallery, Tokyo, Japan
2018

A new mural on the front windows of the gallery, 3 brand new paintings on canvas, original paintings on wood and limited edition, stamped and signed giclée prints.

During my time in Japan there was a disaster in the West of the country; extremely heavy rains led to terrible flooding that was then followed by a heat wave. Many people lost their lives. In partnership with the gallery we auctioned 4 pieces of work from the exhibition with the proceeds going to Japan Red Cross in support of the relief efforts in the disaster areas.

Shortly after the exhibition, I began working on a commission to paint the shutter at the entrance to UltraSuperNew’s creative agency that lives above the gallery. See ‘Daijōbu’ mural in Street Art & Murals page for more.
